Wildflowers - Meandering Mondays
It’s spring, and the wildflowers are here for your viewing pleasure! Join Alison Sheehey, of the Sequoia Forest Keeper, in learning about our annual wildflowers, being taught how to identify the flowers and their family groups.
This event occurs every Monday (except holidays), from 1pm – 3pm (end-time approximate). Meet at the Kernville Fire Station, 11018 Kernville Rd., Kernville (next to Cheryl’s Diner) at 1pm. Departure will be to various locations in the Kern Valley, where the flowers are blooming!
July: 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st Aug: 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th
Sept: 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th Oct: 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th
Recommended: hat, bug screen, snacks/drinks, and appropriate shoes for hiking. Binoculars are very helpful. Field guides are optional.
Children must be accompanied by an adult, and no pets are permitted.
